50cl / 45.60% - this whisky is from the speyside distillery of caperdonich, a distillery with a turbulent history. caperdonich opened in 1897 under the imaginative name glen grant number two, after its sister distillery, and was allegedly linked by a pipe that ran whisky between the two. the distillery then closed in 1902 before reopening in 1965 under the more original name caperdonich then in 2002, after thirty-five years of production, the distillery was mothballed and has not reopened since. thankfully there is still some whisky available for fantastic bottlings such as this one from that boutique-y whisky company.this label features a night time scene of misdemeanour. a donich caper if you will the perpetrators are attempting to drill into the spirit pipe between caperdonich and its sister distillery, glen grant to get at the liquor-rich goodness within. cheeky monkeys. this is a release of 36 bottles.that boutique-y whisky company bottles single malts, single
