After the whisky was distilled in 1972, it was left to mature in Sherry butt #7290 until 2008, when it was bottled with an outturn of 528 bottles. For such a well aged whisky, it has been bottled at an admirable 65% ABV. To make an incredible understatement, the expressions from the closed Karuizawa distillery have become highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs alike.
