Strathisla 9 Year Old 2005 (Malt of The Earth) Single Malt Whisky
70cl / 46.00% - A cheeky little single cask Strathisla from Malt of The Earth - one of their first bottlings. Distilled in 2005, 418 bottles were produced at 46% in 2014 after 9 years in a refill hogshead. It will come as no surprise that the colour is natural here (it's also not chill filtered) - but don't be put off by the pale hue at all either, this is delightfully drinkable stuff. Speculoos (sweet and spiced, ginger and nutmeg biscuityness) and fresh apple.
