Casamigos Mezcal Joven Mezcal
70cl / 40.00% - The Casamigos brand created by George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman first made a splash on the Tequila scene. But now the folks at Casamigos have expanded their portfolio with their first mezcal. This joven (unaged) artesanal mezcal is made from 100% espadin agave and was crafted in collaboration with a family that has been making mezcal for five generations in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca, Mexico. The pinas are cooked in earthen pits lined with volcanic rock and crushed using a tahona. After a long fermentation, the mezcal is twice distilled using copper pot stills. It's super smoky, herbaceous, and very delicious.
