Deanston 12 Year Old 2006 - Fino Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky
70cl / 55.00% - A superbly sherried Highlander in the form of this 12 Year Old Deanston. It was distilled back in 2006 and was initially matured in bourbon casks for nine and a half years. Then, its final two and a half years of ageing were spent in Fino sherry casks. Interestingly, this is actually the first time Fino sherry has been used to mature Deanston spirit. When it was sufficiently sherried it was bottled at cask strength, a healthy 55% ABV, with a limited release of 268 bottles.
