50cl / 53.60% - An excellent indie Islay whisky here, distilled by the brilliant Bowmore and bottled up for the Darkness range. However, before it was bottled, it was allowed a finishing period in a Moscatel sherry octave cask. Much smaller than your run-of-the-mill cask, these octave casks offer a greater surface area to volume ratio, imparting oodles of sherried notes to the whisky - exactly what the Darkness range is all about.
