50cl / 49.50% - Behold, the first Fleurieu single malt whisky to be bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company, release as part of its Australian Series. Produced on the Fleurieu Peninsula (hence the distillery's name), this is a 3 year old single malt with a deliciously sherried flavour profile. The label references a very dramatic occurrence at the distillery, which is in an old train shed, with train tracks leading through one of the sheds though the line is mostly disused, steam train enthusiasts have been known to use it, and one time a train lost control and drove right through the distillery's doors.Batch 1 is a release of 260 bottles.That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
