It's an 18 year old single malt whiskey, which has enjoyed a rather interesting finishing period it spent 18 months resting in Pineau des Charentes casks. If you're not familiar with it, Pineau des Charentes is a French fortified wine made with grape juice or must, blended with Cognac. It's brilliantly vibrant and fruity, and those elements have made their way into this ace single malt.
