50cl / 54.40% - This single malt hails from the Hammerschmiede distillery in Germany. Boutique-y Whisky regulars will be familiar with the distillery's Elsburn single malt, but here we have something different Emperor's Way is the name given to its peated, smoky expressions. Rather unusually, local German peat was used during malting, and the whisky was matured in an extremely rare first-fill Japanese mizunara oak cask. A cracking find from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, and just the thing to join its World of Smoke collection. Batch 1 is a release of 477 bottles.That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends.
