Lighter than glass and with the carbon footprint of each bottle six times lower than glass bottles, these bottles are made from recycled paper and house a food grade pouch filled with Calvados. And speaking of Calvados, Avallen is made without sugar, caramel or boise (a wood extract sometimes used to add colour to Calvados) literally just good old apples and water before its aged in French oak barrels for at least two years.
