The whisky spent eight years maturing in a single hogshead before being bottled at a big, bold 57.5% ABV as part of the End of the World series. Sticking to the theme, the usually lush foliage and bell-shaped topiary pictured on the label of these Boutique-y Blair Athol releases has been struck with a deadly case of box blight, leaving it with bare patches and brown leaves all over. Disastrous. Batch 15 is a release of 335 bottles.That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends, all adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels. The brand won Spirits Bottler of the Year at the 2023 Spirits Business Awards, and Blender of the Year went to Sam Simmons, captain of the Boutique-y clan who oversees every one of these releases.
