Glasgow 1770 Syrah Wine Cask Finish (Unpeated) Single Malt Whisky
70cl / 59.30% - Each year, the team at the Glasgow distillery fills a wide range of interesting and unique cask types, experimenting with their influence on the various styles of whisky the distillery produces. For this limited edition, its unpeated, double-distilled single malt was initially filled into a pair of bourbon barrels in February 2020, then re-racked for a generous one year and ten months finish in Greek syrah (shiraz) red wine barriques from the island of Evia. Bottled at a hearty 59.3% ABV, it's a characterful sipper, laden with oaken vanilla and caramel, joined by jammy dark fruits, chocolate, and spice. A release of 652 bottles.
