70cl / 44.90% - The third batch of brilliantly bargainous blended Highland malt from the Thompson Bros. is here. To create this blend, the Thompson Bros. ethically sourced whisky from two local producers who operate within a 39.8 mile radius of their home at the Dornoch Distillery, Clynelish and Glen Ord. Both distilleries employ traditional crop rotation methods, use sustainable biofuels and use less water than many others. The blend was very slowly diluted down to strength over a period of 47 days (just 0.25% dilution per day), and bolstered by a surreptitious addition of 3% heavily peated malt from D**more (they put the asterisks in there to make sure none of us could figure that out).
