The Protium uses Montane's Thermo Grid fleece fabric to provide comfort, stretch and protection while you're out and about. A brushed inner wicks away sweat and feels super comfortable next to the skin if you're wearing a short-sleeved baselayer.Starting at the top, you've got a snug hood which is designed to fit underneath a climbing helmet, while further down an external zipped chest pocket stores a phone, keys or snacks. You'll notice there aren't any hand pockets; this is to allow you to wear a climbing harness or rucksack hipbelt without the uncomfortable sensation of a zip digging into your hip. Further increasing comfort are flatlocked seams and low-profile cuffs and hem - again, to fit comfortably underneath other layers or a rucksack.It can either be used as a warm mid-layer or a lightweight outer layer when the weather is on your side.
