As a child Larry's interest in music was always apparent as he sang along to the music that his parents and siblings enjoyed listening to. At the age of 14 he had a personal experience with the Jesus that inspired him to sing for the Lord. At the age 15 his parents purchased him a $60.00 guitar and he began to make noise. At the age of 16 Larry's brother gave him a better guitar to help him to make better sounding noise. He continued to learn how to play the guitar and began to write short songs
