Jesse James (Willard Parker), retired and living under a different name in St. Joseph, Missouri, agrees over the protests of his wife Zee (Barbara Woodell) to join Bob Ford (Jim Bannon) and Sam Wells (Richard Cutting) in a Colorado gold raid.
