Cobra LTDx LS Fairway The Cobra LTDx LS Fairway has been designed for Tour players and higher level amateurs who are looking for a driver that not only provides fast speeds and workability, but offers lower spin rate.  When designing this club Cobra engineered a new lightweight carbon crown which has been made thinner to allow for more discretionary weight to be freed up to improve the club's centre of gravity and MOI properties.  While the carbon crown has allowed for weight to be saved, it has also meant that additional weight has been added in strategic points to increase ball speeds.  The LTDx LS Fairway uses a multi material weighting system that combines steel, titanium and aluminium to create the PWR-COR. This weighting system is placed low and forward in the head of the driver to create lower levels of spin but faster ball speeds to maximise the distance that the ball can be struck.  While the PWR-COR focuses on using weight to adjust the speed and spin on the ball, the adjustable weights that have been included look to adjust the flight of the ball. A 12g “heavyweight” and 3g “lightweight” can be positioned in either the heel or the toe of the driver to help promote either a fade or draw bias on the flight of the ball. For the LTDx series Cobra has decided to use the H.O.T (Highly Optimised Topology) Face Technology to provide 15 HOT zones that are located in different areas of the face with strategically different levels of thickness. This design choice, which was created using artificial intelligence, allows for increased ball speed across a wider area of the face and increases the “smash factor”.  The railing system used on the LTDx LS fairway has been altered, with the 3W using no rails in an effort to account for golfers who may have a sweeping, shallow swing. However, the 5W features pronounced rails to help golfers with steep swings interact with the turf better.  Features and Benefits PWR-COR™ Technology A PWR-COR™ weighting system positions mass low and forward to combine low spin with faster ball speed for enhanced distance. Lightweight Carbon Crown A new carbon crown material is thinner and frees up more discretionary weight to improve CG/MOI properties.
