Selvapiana 'Vigneto Bucerchiale' Chianti Rufina Riserva 2020/22

Selvapiana 'Vigneto Bucerchiale' Chianti Rufina Riserva 2020/22

Selvapiana is a historic wine producer from Rufina, the smallest of Chianti’s subzones. The Giuntini family has owned the estate since 1827, and today it's run by Federico Giuntini-Masseti, the fifth generation in charge. Rufina’s cool breezes from the Sieve Valley allow the vineyards to produce some of the most elegant and age-worthy wines within the broader Chianti region. Their Sangiovese grapes are cultivated organically in the Bucerchiale vineyard, a site with vines as old as 1968. Handpicked and meticulously selected, the wine undergoes traditional fermentation and ageing in oak, resulting in a rich, full-bodied wine. Discover intense aromas of ripe raspberry, cherry, herbs, and violets, with silky tannins and a long, refined finish. Its fruity depth pairs beautifully with the earthy flavours of pheasant stuffed with braised vegetables and porcini mushrooms.
