Cecile Lebrun Cabernet d'Anjou 2024, Loire Valley

Cecile Lebrun Cabernet d'Anjou 2024, Loire Valley

This delicately hued, medium-dry rosé is crafted from 100% Cabernet Franc by the historic Maison Cécile Lebrun, founded in 1921 by Paulin Lebrun. Originally established as a coopering and wine-trading business, the house later expanded into wine production under the leadership of Cécile Lebrun and Raymond Foucher. Produced in the Anjou appellation in France’s Loire Valley, a region renowned for its rosé wines, this Cabernet d’Anjou displays both heritage and craftsmanship. A brief maceration imparts its elegant rose-petal hue, while fermentation is stopped early to preserve natural sweetness. The palate reveals vibrant raspberry and redcurrant notes with subtle herbal nuances, carried by a smooth texture and lifted by a lively, refreshing finish. Best enjoyed now, it pairs beautifully with cold starters, grilled fish, or lightly sweet desserts such as fruit tarts.
