Taylor's 40 Year Old Tawny Port
Taylor's is one of the few remaining Port houses that still produces a rare 40-year-old tawny Port. Produced in very small quantities due to the evaporation of the wine from the barrels over many decades, it's intense, complex, and concentrated. Made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Cão, and Tinta Amarela grape varieties from Taylor's own vineyards, it's deep red-brown in colour after ageing in seasoned oak casks. It has a powerful aroma of dried fruit, honey, and spice, with flavours of nutmeg, coffee and walnut on the palate. The finish is long and voluptuous.
