The Ned 'Skyscraper' Pinot Noir 2024, Marlborough
This New World Pinot combines both power and elegance. Part of the well-known Kiwi wine range The Ned, this powerful Pinot is a real standout. The grapes are cold-soaked for a minimum of 24 hours prior to fermentation in order to bring out the variety's distinctive aromatics. It is aged in a mixture of old and new 500L oak puncheons for nine months in order to add further complexity as well as a delicate oak influence. Expect flavours of black cherry with oak spice and a subtle earthiness. Its savoury character, fine tannins, and natural acidity mean it's great with mushrooms, game, or rich fish like tuna.
