Louis Jadot Coteaux Bourguignons Red 2023/24
One of Burgundy's newest appellations, Coteaux Bourguignons covers the whole region, from as far north as Auxerre to Beaujolais in the south. Wines are made not just from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but also Gamay, César, Aligoté, Melon de Bourgogne, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris. Founded in 1859, Louis Jadot has become a major name in Burgundy, renowned for its commitment to quality and sustainability. This wine is made from Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes sourced from Louis Jadot's own vineyards and long-term growers in both Beaujolais and Burgundy. The grapes are destemmed and then fermented in stainless tanks to preserve the bright red berry fruit flavours. Expect soft red fruit flavours with gentle tannins and fresh acidity, making it an ideal pairing for a charcuterie platter and lots of fresh crusty bread.
