This vibrant Petit Chablis from a sixth-generation producer has the depth and precision of a classic Chablis AOC. Chablis may be part of Burgundy – but you won’t find any Pinot Noir vines here. It’s all about Chardonnay. Specifically: crisp, citrusy, refreshing Chardonnay. Chablis is a lot further north than the rest of Burgundy so has a cooler climate. This, combined with the tradition of leaving the majority of wines unoaked means that the style of these lean, light white Burgundies are very different from their rich, fruity southern cousins. It takes a real expert to hit the balance of freshness and flavour. Luckily, Domaine Louis Moreau have been doing it for six generations.
