D'Arenberg 'The Stump Jump' Shiraz 2022, McLaren Vale
‘The Stump Jump’ doesn’t refer to cricket stumps, but to the significant South Australian invention – the Stump Jump plough. Its name is linked to the traditional methods that d’Arenberg uses to craft this classic Shiraz. The grapes used in this wine underwent gentle crushing, foot treading, and traditional open tank fermentation. The wine was then matured in large casks prior to estate bottling. Full of ripe black fruits, vanilla, and spice, this Shiraz has a smooth texture which is best enjoyed with grilled meats and spicy dishes.
