Cantine Volpi Barbaresco DOCG, Piemonte
Barbaresco is a softer, more elegant style of Nebbiolo, that is more approachable at a younger age, making it a great wine for Barolo lovers. Founded in 1914 in Tortona, Piedmont, Cantine Volpi first began focusing on winemaking, rather than wine-growing. Over the generations, the family gradually expanded into viticulture, completing the production cycle. Today, the winery manages 20 hectares of family-owned vineyards. This expression is layered with red fruits, violet, dried flowers and spices. Best enjoyed with roasted meats, mushroom risotto and aged cheeses.
