Forrest Wines Chenin Blanc, Marlborough
While only the sixth winery to open in the world-class Marlborough region, Forrest Wines like to do things a little differently, showcasing grape varieties in interesting, alternative ways. Beth Forester, the General Manager and Winemaker, fell in love with Chenin Blanc when she went to the Loire Valley to originally learn more about Sauvignon Blanc. This wine resembles the styles she found there. Defined by flavours of quince, pear, jasmine and ginger, it is balanced by a zesty acidity with a minerally yet creamy texture. It finds a perfect partner in a seaside picnic or with fish and chips.
