Hidalgo 'Triana' Manzanilla Spritz, Spain
This sherry hybrid combines the refreshing tang of a Manzanilla with juicy citrus and refreshing bubbles. It's made by Bodegas Hidalgo, one of the oldest sherry producers in existence. Established by the Hidalgo family over 200 years ago, it is still owned and run by the eighth generation today. It's famous for La Gitana Manzanilla, named after a gypsy barmaid who, by all accounts, captivated her customers in turn-of-the-century Malaga and Eduardo Hidalgo in particular. To make this wine, Hidalgo selected the freshest Manzanilla before flavouring it with natural lemon and lime. It is then carbonated and bottled. Expect bright citrus and floral aromas, with sweet juicy lemon and lime on the palate.
