This combination gives the blade the hardness needed to cut through tough, abrasive composite wood materials while maintaining the flexibility required to resist snapping under load. The ground pointed teeth and taper-ground design are specifically chosen to prevent the surface layer of laminate from chipping or snagging during the cut.
